Cable carrier is a system also known as drag chain system and it is used especially in energy distribution of automation systems. Cable carriers are generally used in industrial systems. The biggest feature of these systems is the use of electrical power or signal cables for the protection of hydraulic and pneumatic hoses. In fact, in the simplest terms, it allows the cables to be carried and kept together. Although it differs according to the system used, this transport usually takes place in a certain direction.
The cable carrier system protects the cables, hoses or similar conductors that provide energy flow from the movement of the machine and external effects.
Raw material of Cable Carriers
Cable carriers can be made of steel or plastic. The usage areas of steel and plastic ones differ. Generally, this difference is determined by the installation area and the load that the cable carrier will work.
